UNDERGROUND SUN STORAGE makes it possible to seasonally store renewable energy by converting solar energy into green hydrogen via electrolysis and conserving it in empty natural gas reservoirs. The hydrogen is used again in winter. This climate-neutral process has already been realised in Austria and can be used worldwide, especially in cold regions.
