What makes your innovation unique?
In cooperation with The New Raw (Amsterdam), EOOS NEXT has developed an innovative, electrically powered cargo bike that can be produced locally and cost-effectively. The 3D printed bike from 80 kg of recycled plastic combines sustainable production, new vehicle typology and self-empowerment through digital fabrication.
Advantages
• The design is based on 100% recycled plastic, which is reprocessed from waste (e.g. supermarket plastic waste).
• The diagonal structure of the layers makes it possible to essentially print the mould without support material.
• Based on the expertise and spare parts inventory of local workshops, local production can be customised on site.
• ZUV can be shredded and 3D printed again within the local economic cycle (e.g. service concept).
Awards
• Representative Architecture Biennale Venice – 2016
• Representative Design Triennale Milan – 2019
• Solo exhibitions MAK – 2015+2019
• Green Good Design Award (The Chicago Athenaeum) – 2022
