The winery has been family-owned since 1705 and is passed down from generation to generation with pride and a great sense of responsibility. Until now it was Hans and Ulrike SETZER who managed the fortunes of the winery, but today they are already supported by their children Marie-Theres and Eugen. Both already trained in viticulture and just as passionate about it.
Hohenwarth am Manhartsberg, on the edge of the western Weinviertel, is particularly predestined for Grüner Veltliner and Roter Veltliner due to its location. These two grape varieties form the heart of the winery and are produced both in the light segment and as rich single-site wines.
SETZER wines have been successful worldwide for many years. They can be found in top restaurants from San Francisco in the west to Shanghai in the east. SETZER wines are also appreciated and loved in Australia or island destinations such as the Maldives.
